Ear Wax Instructions PDF Print E-mail

Your ear is self-cleaning and is supposed to make ear wax.

Avoid getting water in your ear when showering/bathing.

Do not use Q-tips or other items in your ear canal as this may cause infections or push wax further into your ear canal. Additionally, there is a risk of damaging your ear structures and hearing if you probe too deep.

If you do not have tubes or a hole in your eardrum, and have itching or excessive wax build-up, you can put a few drops of a mixture of ½ rubbing alcohol and ½ white vinegar in your ears up to twice a day.
