Please do not take any products containing aspirin, ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve or similar products for 10 days before or 10 days after your operation, because they increase your risk of bleeding. It is okay to take Tylenol.
Please do not eat or drink after midnight on the evening before surgery. Having food or liquid in your stomach at the onset of anesthesia is dangerous and can result in aspiration. Patients who eat or drink after midnight may have their surgery delayed or cancelled.
Surgery times are assigned by age, youngest to oldest, by the hospital.
