Dr. Ron Kuppersmith was presented the Distinguished Service Award by the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. This prestigious award is given to members in recognition of their volunteer contributions to the Academy and its Foundation. Dr. Kuppersmith previously had been awarded an Honor Award by the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in 2003. He will be recognized for his contributions during the Opening Ceremony of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery's Annual Meeting at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago in September 2008.
