03.08.08 Kirsta Herder Receives Doctor of Audiology from ATSU |

MESA, Ariz. –Kirsta Herder, Au.D. graduated from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences in Mesa on March 8. Dr. Herder received the Doctor of Audiology degree and was one of 300 students graduating from ATSU-ASHS at the annual March commencement held in Phoenix Arizona.
Dr. Herder, of Bryan, Texas graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelors of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Houston and her Masters of Science in Audiology from Arizona State University before enrolling at ATSU-ASHS. She is the daughter of Richard and Rebecca Herder from Friendswood, Texas.
Dr. Herder has interned at many facilities including Phoenix Indian Medical Center, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and Phoenix Day School for the Deaf. She also worked at Texas Children’s Hospital to help establish the Texas Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program for all well-born, premature and NICU infants when Texas joined the Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Program in 2000. Dr. Herder is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech and Language Association (ASHA).
